Who could resist taking a lot of photos while traveling in Italy? My sabbatical year produced over 30,000 digital images-added to the thousands I had previously taken in the north of Italy, south of Italy and the islands off Italy. This photo gallery is a collection of those which I think in some way convey (for me at least) the true heart of Italy.

More specifically the gallery is divided into Italy North, Italy South, Islands, seascapes, culture and traditions (which include archeology, festivals, and interesting Italians).

Naturally this collection continues to grow with each visit…one is coming up Friday! So please excuse me for not loading photos until I return.
